The Shelton Bulldogs stacked a 17th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They breezed by Harvard at home to the tune of 78-24. The victory was nothing new for Shelton as they're now sitting on six straight.
It was another big night for Riley Bombeck, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and eight steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last 12 times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Reilly Jensen, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Shelton pushed their record up to 19-1 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home. As for Harvard, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-15 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Shelton will face off against Silver Lake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Shelton's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games. As for Harvard, they will head out on the road to take on Wilcox-Hildreth at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Harvard is facing Wilcox-Hildreth at the right time seeing as Wilcox-Hildreth is stuck on a 13-game losing streak.
