After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Niceville, the Chiles Timberwolves were happy to have found some success on Saturday. They secured a 48-43 W over FAMU DRS. That's another feather in the cap for Chiles, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Chiles to victory, but perhaps none more so than Faith Durden, who scored 17 points along with three steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Durden has scored at least a third of Chiles' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Macey Hartman, who scored eight points along with three steals and three blocks.
Chiles is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for FAMU DRS, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-11.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Rickards the next time they take the court. Chiles will host Rickards at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while FAMU DRS will head out to face them at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
