The Flathead Braves/Bravettes and the Butte Bulldogs squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Flathead Braves/Bravettes had to settle for second. They took a 70-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The loss means Flathead is still on the hunt for the season's first 'W'.
Despite the loss, Flathead still got an impressive performance from Lyric Ersland, who dropped a double-double on 28 points and ten rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Ersland has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Brodee Zahn, who scored 11 points.
Flathead's loss was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-13. As for Butte, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Big Sky the next time they take the court. Flathead will host Big Sky at TBD on Tuesday, while Butte will host them at TBD on Friday.
