The Johnson Atomsmashers will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the Richmond Hill Wildcats at 4:00 p.m. on December 29th. Johnson will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 262nd, while Richmond Hill is ranked 122nd).
Last Friday, Johnson took a serious blow against Valdosta, falling 66-27. Johnson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 32-12.
Richmond Hill has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 21 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Greenbrier on Wednesday as Richmond Hill made off with a 52-29 victory. Winning may never get old, but Richmond Hill sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Richmond Hill, they pushed their record up to 9-3 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Johnson strolled past Richmond Hill in their previous meeting back in November of 2016 by a score of 53-37. Will Johnson repeat their success, or does Richmond Hill have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
