They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 70-59 defeat to State Line HomeSchool R. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
When it comes to explaining why South Guilford HomeSchool lost, one person who can't be blamed is Kassidy Bullins. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 27 points and 13 rebounds. Those 27 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Kailey Bullins, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
South Guilford HomeSchool's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 14-5. As for State Line HomeSchool R, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
