New Life Academy is 0-4 against Concordia Academy since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Monday. The New Life Academy Eagles will head out on the road to  square off against  the Concordia Academy Beacons at 4:30  p.m. Both teams come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Last Wednesday, New Life Academy narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past St. Croix Prep  8-7.
  Ashlyn Croon made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound,   tossing seven innings while giving up  four earned  (and three unearned) runs off   five  hits. Croon has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in five consecutive pitching appearances. Croon was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with two  runs, a  triple,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Sadie Button was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3.  Charlotte Pettis was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while  getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Concordia Academy put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season  on Monday. They blew past St. Croix Prep 11-1. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for Concordia Academy.
 New Life Academy's record is now 8-6. As for Concordia Academy, their record now sits at 9-4.
 New Life Academy might still be hurting after the  11-2 loss they got from Concordia Academy  in their previous matchup  back in April. Can New Life Academy avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
