Reseda has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Canoga Park Hunters at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (Reseda is ranked 997th, while Canoga Park is ranked 1017th).
Two weeks ago, Reseda was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 28-24 to Van Nuys.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Canoga Park, who are still winless after their eighth contest. They were beaten by Van Nuys 37-7 on Friday.
Despite the loss, Canoga Park saw an underclassman step up: Dallas Lakey rushed for 134 yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Canoga Park's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Leading the way was Jonathan Lopez and his two sacks.
Reseda's loss was their tenth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 9.4 points per game. As for Canoga Park, their defeat also dropped their record down to 0-8.
Reseda took a serious blow against Canoga Park in their previous meeting back in October of 2022, falling 49-0. Can Reseda avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
