The Cross Roads Bobcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Martins Mill, falling 97-22. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Cross Roads in their matchups with Martins Mill: they've now lost eight in a row.
Leading Martins Mill to victory were Archer Schneider and Jak Kinder. Schneider almost dropped a double-double on 33 points and nine rebounds, while Kinder went 11 for 17 from beyond the arc en route to 33 points and 6 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Schneider has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Marsh, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Cross Roads has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-14 record this season. As for Martins Mill, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-4.
Cross Roads will be playing in front of their home fans against Frankston at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Frankston presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cross Roads in Texas (Frankston is ranked 487th, while Cross Roads is ranked 1338th). As for Martins Mill, they will head out on the road to square off against LaPoynor at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. LaPoynor is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
