Basketball Game Preview: Stuart W. Cramer Storm vs. South Point Red Raiders

The Stuart W. Cramer Storm will head out on the road to challenge the South Point Red Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Stuart W. Cramer comes in on nine and South Point on seven.

On Tuesday, Stuart W. Cramer took their matchup with ease, bagging a 54-18 victory over North Gaston. Given the Storm's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 494th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Oshauna Holland and Lauren Humphrey were among the main playmakers for Stuart W. Cramer as the former almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, 11 rebounds, and nine assists and the latter went 9 of 13 on her way to 18 points along with six boards and four blocks. The game was Holland's 20th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadley Womack, who posted eight points.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask South Point). They claimed a resounding 70-34 win over Forestview. The Red Raiders have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 23 points or more this season.

South Point pushed their record up to 10-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33 points. As for Stuart W. Cramer, their win bumped their record up to 12-1.

Stuart W. Cramer came out on top in a nail-biter against South Point in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 40-38. Will Stuart W. Cramer repeat their success, or does South Point have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
