Baseball Recap: Friday's Victory Is Sequoyah's Seventh in Last Eight Outings

Sequoyah won against Chelsea on Thursday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. Sequoyah didn't even let the Copan Hornets on the board, marking Sequoyah's second-straight 14-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 11 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Sequoyah is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. Copan moved to 8-5 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coincidentally, Sequoyah and Copan will both be playing Oklahoma Union the next time they take the field. Sequoyah will head out to face Oklahoma Union on Saturday, while Copan will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
