For the second straight game, Lowry will face off against Spring Creek. The Buckaroos will be playing at home against the Spartans at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Lowry is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8 runs per game this season.

Lowry took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top against Spring Creek by a score of 7-6 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The Buckaroos haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Makinley Hislop spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned (and two unearned) runs on 11 hits and racked up 11 Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Lowry saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Adalyn Entwistle, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Dana Micone was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-4.

Entwistle wasn't the only one making solid contact: Lowry kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

Lowry's victory was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-5. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Spring Creek, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season.

Saturday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Lowry hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .382. However, it's not like Spring Creek struggles in that department as they've averaged .375. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
