Brenham had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. Everything went their way against the Texas City Stingarees on Friday as they made off with a 28-7 victory. The result was nothing new for the Cubs, who have now won eight games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Brenham's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cartelle Brown led the charge by picking up 106 receiving yards and two TDs. That's the most receiving yards Brown has posted since back in September.

The win made it two in a row for Brenham and bumps their season record up to 10-1. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 21 points. As for Texas City, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-5.

Coming up, Brenham will venture away from home to square off against Liberty Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cubs will need to watch out since the Panthers have now posted at least 31 points in their last ten matchups. Texas City does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
