The Riverbend Bears lost against the Eastern View Cyclones back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Riverbend fell to Eastern View 57-51. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Riverbend in their matchups with Eastern View: they've now lost three in a row.
Riverbend's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Chris Eggleston, who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brian Donohue, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Riverbend's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Eastern View, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Riverbend will be playing in front of their home fans against Charlottesville at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Eastern View, they will head out on the road to face off against Unity Reed at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
