The West Jefferson Panthers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They walked away with a 71-64 victory over Butte County. The victory was a breath of fresh air for West Jefferson as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Butte County's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brody Westergard, who scored 18 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Westergard hasn't dropped below 15points for three straight games. Another player making a difference was Braxton Gamett, who scored 15 points.
West Jefferson's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Butte County, their loss dropped their record down to 10-3.
West Jefferson will head out on the road to square off against Soda Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Butte County, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Murtaugh at 5:30 p.m.
