The Hunter College Hawks lost against the Beacon Bulldogs back in November of 2016, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. Hunter College took a 57-52 hit to the loss column at the hands of Beacon.
Hunter College lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Braden Li, who scored 13 points. Those 13 points set a new season-high mark for him. Justin Wu was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with nine rebounds.
Hunter College's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 5-10. As for Beacon, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hunter College will square off against Laguardia at 5:00 p.m. on January 19th. As for Beacon, they will head out on the road to face off against Douglass Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
