Sullivan North have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Happy Valley at 7:30 PM. Both of these teams will be looking for a pick-me-up after considerable defeats in their previous games.
If Sullivan North were riding high off their 49-14 takedown of Unaka three weeks ago, that ride came to an abrupt end. Sullivan North ended up on the wrong side of a painful 8-30 walloping at Hampton's hands. Sullivan North's low-scoring loss was the unsatisfying follow-up to their high-scoring outing the contest before.
Meanwhile, things haven't been easy for Happy Valley, and their game last Friday only extended their streak of losses to three. They have to be aching after a bruising 7-28 defeat to Johnson County last Friday. The state rankings had actually given Happy Valley a slight edge heading into the game, making this hurt that much more.
With the two teams each stumbling in off of a loss, both will be hungry for the win. Neither squad could put together much of an offensive attack, so expect every point to count.
