Baseball Recap: Colonia Snags Seventh Win in Last Eight Games

While Colonia's win against South Brunswick wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Patriots had just enough and edged out the Vikings 3-2. Three seems to be a good number for the Patriots as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Colonia is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for South Brunswick, their loss was their 12th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-20.

Colonia wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 1-0 victory against Scotch Plains-Fanwood on the 17th. South Brunswick does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
