The Maxwell Panthers were the 50-38 winner over the Hamilton Braves when they last played one another on January 9th, but their luck changed this time around. Maxwell took a hard 65-51 fall against Hamilton on Friday.
Hamilton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kayden Strong, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Strong has scored at least a third of Hamilton's points. Case Porter was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
Maxwell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Hamilton, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-11.
Maxwell will head out on the road to take on Williams at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hamilton, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Biggs at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
