Argos is 7-1 against the Comets since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Argos Dragons will be playing in front of their home fans against the Caston Comets at 7:30 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Indiana (Argos is ranked 387th, while the Comets are ranked 370th).
Even though Kouts scored an imposing 57 points on Saturday, Argos still came out on top. Argos snuck past the Mustangs & Fillies with a 62-57 victory. With that victory, Argos brought their scoring average up to 50.5 points per game.
Argos' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Sean Richard, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and ten rebounds. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Richard has scored at least a third of Argos' points. Luke Stults was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Caston came up short against the Trojans on Saturday and fell 54-44.
Argos' win bumped their record up to 6-8. As for Caston, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-9.
Argos was able to grind out a solid win over the Comets in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, winning 70-61. Will Argos repeat their success, or do the Comets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
