Volleyball Recap: Santiago Has No Trouble Against Centennial

Santiago not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 20th. Everything went their way against the Centennial Huskies as they made off with a 3-0 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in March.

One reason for the win was Santiago's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-15, 25-13.

Reyce Ongalibang paced Santiago's offense, picking up 16 kills. Ongalibang got some help from Carson Chambers and his 35 assists. Chambers was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Santiago pushed their record up to 16-8 with the win, which was their third straight at home. As for Centennial, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Santiago will venture away from home to take on Roosevelt at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The Mustangs will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Sharks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Centennial, they are taking a road trip to face off against Norco at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
