Texas Wind came tearing into Friday's game with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 20.2 points) and they left with even more momentum. They took down Providence Prep 49-33.
Lilly Hodge and Sarah Vernon certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Hodge dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds, while Vernon scored six points along with five rebounds and three steals. Vernon also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Texas Wind has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season. As for Providence Prep, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Texas Wind will be playing at home against the Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Stephenville FAITH is looking to tack on another W to their nine-game streak on the road. Providence Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
