Garden Grove recap December 3, 2013
Garden Grove added to the longest winning streak in Garden Grove this week by beating Irvine, 49-27. The win marks 13th in a row for the the Argonauts.
Garden Grove moved up to 189 from 237 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Willy Puga's team climbed the ranks as a result of defeating the Vaqueros 49-27.
Garden Grove's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Argonauts feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Angel Martinez has thrown for 2,003 yards and 29 touchdowns this season, while Austin Christian has 35 catches for 681 yards.
Armando Ahumada has rushed for 946 yards on 166 carries so far this year.
The Argonauts took down Irvine 49-27 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sionne Masoe ran for 201 yards and caught 2 passes for 67 yards in the win.
