Springfield won the last time they faced Triad and things went their way on Thursday too. The Senators walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Knights.

While Springfield won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 26-24.

Lucy Ambrose paced Springfield's offense, picking up seven kills. Ambrose got some help from Addi Maddox and her seven assists. Finally, Angel Efe Nogo kept Springfield's defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Springfield's win bumped their record up to 12-4. As for Triad, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Springfield will challenge Decatur Eisenhower at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Triad, they will take on Mascoutah at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. The match will give the Knights their first taste of in-conference action this season.
