West Broward is 7-1 against Plantation since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The West Broward Bobcats will head out on the road to face off against the Plantation Colonels at 7:30 p.m. West Broward will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 456th, while Plantation is ranked 217th).
After a string of three wins, West Broward's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. The match between West Broward and Miramar wasn't particularly close, with West Broward falling 64-49.
Meanwhile, Plantation put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They walked away with a 59-48 victory over Monarch. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Plantation has scored all season.
Plantation found their leader in underclassman Jabari Washington, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Clemons, who scored 15 points along with five rebounds.
West Broward's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-2. As for Plantation, they pushed their record up to 6-0 with that win, which was their third straight on the road.
West Broward came up short against Plantation in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 67-63.
