The Campbell Camels will challenge the Clarkton Reindeer at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Campbell has given up an average of 14.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.
Campbell is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Richland with a sharp 30-21 win on Wednesday. The Camels not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23rd (when they won 16-1).

Kaitlyn Weidenbenner made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched four innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in strikeouts (four). She was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her seven plate appearances with three runs and four RBI.
In other batting news, Campbell got a massive performance out of Ryann Durham, who went 5-for-7 with ten RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. The dominant performance also gave Durham a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Monica Serrano, who got on base in all seven of her plate appearances with three stolen bases, five runs, and two RBI.
Campbell kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Clarkton unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 22-9 to Puxico.
Tabby Rivera was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Rivera is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: she's snagged at least two every time she's taken the field this season. Raylee Harmon was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
Campbell's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-22. As for Clarkton, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Campbell has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .460. However, it's not like Clarkton struggles in that department as they've averaged .629. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
