Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Coffeeville should expect quite the challenge on Friday. Their bye week comes to an end as they meet up with Brooks at 7:00 PM at Homecoming/Senior Night. Brooks will be strutting in after a victory while Coffeeville will be stumbling in from a loss.
There's no need to mince words: Coffeeville lost to Greenville Christian two weeks ago, and they lost bad. The score wound up at 6-41. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Coffeeville.
Meanwhile, Brooks got themselves on the board against Leland last Friday, but Leland never followed suit. Brooks were fully in charge, breezing past Leland 56-0. Followers of Brooks probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.
Coffeeville took a serious blow against Brooks the last time the two teams met, falling 0-54. Can Coffeeville avenge their defeat, or is history doomed to repeat itself ? We'll soon find out.
