The Winter Haven Blue Devils scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Victory Christian Academy with points to spare, taking the game 98-79. The win was nothing new for Winter Haven as they're now sitting on four straight.
Isaac Celiscar was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 33 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Winter Haven's points. Jamie Phillips jr was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds.
Winter Haven pushed their record up to 4-1 with that victory, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Victory Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 5-2.
Winter Haven will head out on the road to face off against Auburndale at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. Auburndale will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 492nd, while Winter Haven is ranked 13th). Victory Christian Academy will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Riviera Prep at 1:45 p.m. on December 19th. Riviera Prep has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 291 points over their last four matches.
