Northbridge is 8-2 against Millbury since February of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Northbridge Rams will be home for the holidays to greet the Millbury Woolies at 6:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both teams will really light up the scoreboard.
On Tuesday, Northbridge was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 74-70 to Grafton. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Northbridge in their matchups with Grafton: they've now lost three in a row.
Meanwhile, Millbury took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They claimed a resounding 65-38 win over Uxbridge at home.
Millbury's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Anthony Phillipo, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenny Donnelly, who scored 12 points.
Northbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Millbury, their win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 1-0.
Northbridge took a serious blow against Millbury when the teams last played back in February, falling 70-34. The matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Northbridge was down 49-16.
