Ponderosa has struggled against George Washington recently, as their match on Saturday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Ponderosa had strong showings from Maddison Neale, who scored 24 points, and Jenni Sorvillo, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. Neale scored a full 53.3% of Ponderosa's points, the tenth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Ponderosa has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for George Washington, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-9.
Ponderosa will be playing in front of their home fans against Thomas Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. George Washington is on the road again on Monday and play against Rock Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on January 8th. Rock Canyon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 532 points over their last eight games.
