Ewing scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They were beaten by the Hillsborough Raiders 69-41. While losing is never fun, the Blue Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 187th, while the Raiders are ranked 25th).

When it comes to explaining why Ewing lost, don't look at Brooklyn Ellis. Despite the final result, she posted eight points and six boards. Ariana Wadley was another key player, putting up five points.

Ewing is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4. As for Hillsborough, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Ewing wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 45-33 defeat against Trenton Catholic Academy on the 28th. As for Hillsborough, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 64-43 victory against George School on the 28th.
