The Fox Creek Predators waltzed into their game on Tuesday with seven straight wins but they left with eight. They enjoyed a cozy 57-43 victory over Strom Thurmond. The score was all tied up 23-23 at the break, but Fox Creek was the better team in the second half.
Leading Fox Creek to victory were Chorsheak White and Connor Cannon. White scored 14 points, while Cannon dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds. Justin Vining was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Strom Thurmond lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Quan Edmond, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Darrian Hendrix, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Fox Creek has been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season. As for Strom Thurmond, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6.
Fox Creek will head out on the road to challenge Silver Bluff at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Silver Bluff will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. Strom Thurmond will take on Batesburg-Leesville at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Batesburg-Leesville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Monday.
