It was another big night for Ashton Thomas, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds for Toronto. The contest was Thomas' fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Tatum Derrington, who scored 12 points.
Wellsville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Toronto, their win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.
Wellsville will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Edison at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Toronto will finish 2023 at home by hosting East Liverpool at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. East Liverpool is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
