The Meade Buffaloes scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past Satanta 66-25 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Meade has managed all season.
Meade found their leader in underclassman Sayler Stapleton, who went 7 for 12 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 2 assists. Stapleton continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Charity Powell was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
The victory got Meade back to even at 4-4. As for Satanta, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.
Meade won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Ingalls at 7:00 p.m. on January 13th. Ingalls presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Meade in Kansas (Ingalls is ranked 30th, while Meade is ranked 125th). As for Satanta, they will head out on the road to square off against Bucklin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Bucklin will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
