The Scotland Fighting Scots came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to Lee County for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-37 win on the road. With that victory, Scotland brought their scoring average up to 50.7 points per game.
Scotland got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dylan Lampley out in front who scored 15 points along with seven rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Shyland Harrell, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Several Yellow Jackets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kamaree Butler, who scored 17 points along with two blocks. That was a full 45.9% of Lee County's points, marking the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nic Farrow, who scored ten points.
Scotland's win bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Lee County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Scotland will face off against Westover at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Westover has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 905 points over their last 13 matches. As for Lee County, they will head out on the road to take on Southern Lee at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern Lee will be looking to keep their nine-game home win streak alive.
