Woods Cross and Bountiful are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2022, but likely not for long. The Wildcats will host the Redhawks at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woods Cross will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Woods Cross barely beat Alta the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats were the clear victors by a 14-6 margin over the Hawks on Friday. Considering the Wildcats have won five contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on James Hallows, who fired off two home runs, five RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-5. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was AJ Ayala, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Woods Cross always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .535. They are 6-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Bountiful suffered their closest loss since April 21, 2025 on Friday. They fell just short of Olympus by a score of 4-2. The Redhawks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Kyson Burningham made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.
Woods Cross has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games. As for Bountiful, they now have a losing record of 7-8.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Woods Cross has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bountiful struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Woods Cross' way against Bountiful in their previous matchup back in May of 2025, as Woods Cross made off with a 17-5 victory. Do the Wildcats have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Redhawks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
