Newport put the hurt on Line Mountain with a sharp 10-0 victory. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.
Landon Zaring was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over six innings pitched. Zaring was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that he brought in this season.
