Botkins and Troy Christian are an even 3-3 against one another  since October of 2020, but  not for long. The Trojans will take on the Eagles in a tournament  on Tuesday. Botkins is coming into the  matchup hot, having won their last three games.
Botkins saw some tournament action  on Wednesday. They came out on top against Lehman Catholic by a score of  3-1.
 Botkins had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-18, 25-20,  25-14.

 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Botkins to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Kambree Walters, who  had 16  digs and five  assists. Walters is  on a roll when it comes to  digs, as she's  now  had ten or more in each of the last 13 games she's  played. The team also got some help courtesy of  Madison Loy, who  had 14  digs.
Meanwhile, Troy Christian posted their closest  win since September 13th on Wednesday. They narrowly escaped with a  victory as the  team sidled past Cedarville  3-2.
 Troy Christian wouldn't go down easily and took Cedarville into a fifth set  where they got it done with a three-point win. The match finished with set scores of 22-25, 25-19, 25-7, 20-25,  15-12.
 Botkins' win bumped their record up to 11-12. As for Troy Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-10.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of  Tuesday's  contest:  Botkins has really dialed in their serving  this season,  having  averaged 9.2  aces per game. However, it's not like Troy Christian struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 11  aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
