Jones (Beeville, Texas).

Joe Rey in the second quarter.
Jones saw its 15-point halftime lead fall to eight entering the fourth.
JHS's most effective player was Rey. The senior caught two touchdowns.
The victory was a step in the right direction for the Beeville school, which was coming off a 28-21 defeat at the hands of Ray in its previous game.
Cuero (1-2) goes up against Somerset in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Jones (2-1) locks horns with Ingleside also in a non-conference game.
