3A Conference 14 recap November 5, 2013
Adding to the longest winning streak in 3A Conference 14 this week, Fike beat Northern Nash 29-12. The victory was the 10th in a row for the team.
Nash Central lost to Hunt 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Fike's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Demons feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. D j Daniels has thrown for 1,066 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Alcindor Winstead has 24 catches for 325 yards.
Dexter Wright of the the Warriors is only 44 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season. In 123 carries Wright has accumulated 956 yard this year.
Fans will be thrilled by an exciting game in the secondary when the Demons' Winstead goes up against Hunt's Justin Jefferson.
One of the league's premier quarterbacks will face off with its top pass rusher when Fike and Stevie Hinnant's team face off next week.
Next week's game between the Demons and the Warriors will feature a good passing match up as Daniels will test his arm against Jefferson's defensive ability.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Fike takes on Hunt. At the moment, the Demons are in first, while the Warriors are in fourth.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Fike takes on Hunt. The Demons have allowed 166 points this season, while the Warriors have given up 176. Fike allowed 12 points last week as it defeated the Knights.
