Hollister took a 21-12 hit to the loss column at the hands of Salinas. Hollister has struggled against Salinas recently, as their game on Friday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Abel Galindo threw for 94 yards on 11 of 18 attempts. Savion Loza was his top target, picking up 49 receiving yards. On the ground, Brayden Watkins rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown.
Hollister's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Salinas, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hollister will take on Palma at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Palma is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. As for Salinas, they will head out on the road to face off against Serra at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Serra presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Salinas in California (Serra is ranked seventh, while Salinas is ranked 136th).
