The Hawthorne Valley Wildcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They took down Berlin/New Lebanon 65-51. That's two games straight that Hawthorne Valley has won by exactly 14 points.
Oliver Towe was his usual excellent self, scoring 37 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Noah Vom Stein, who scored 14 points.
Hawthorne Valley has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Berlin/New Lebanon, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Loudonville Christian the next time they take the court. Hawthorne Valley will host the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Mountain Lions will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on February 10th.
