The Syracuse Titans will head out to square off against the Farmington Phoenix at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Syracuse is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Layton with a sharp 18-12 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Lancers: they've now won five in a row.

Syracuse let Jazmine Prathan and Grace Thomas run wild. Prathan fired off two home runs, six RBI, and four runs while going 3-for-5, while Thomas fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 4-for-5. Thomas is on a roll when it comes to home runs, as she's now launched at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Oaklee Derrickson, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
They weren't the only one making solid contact: Syracuse kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2024.
Meanwhile, Farmington made easy work of Bonneville on Friday and carried off a 14-4 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Phoenix.
Meghan Fields was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off three hits. Fields was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Morgan Rogers and Hadley Crowley did most of the damage at the plate: Rogers went 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Crowley scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave Crowley a new career-high. Megan Hoskins also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Farmington's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for Syracuse, their record now sits at 9-5.
Tuesday's match might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Syracuse has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .462. However, it's not like Farmington struggles in that department as they've averaged .475. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Syracuse skirted past Farmington 12-10 in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Phoenix turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
