Joseph Wood ran for two touchdowns and
Klayton Adams added two as well as
McLoud (Okla.) bested Santa Fe South (Oklahoma City, Okla.) 52-0 on Saturday.
The Redskins were up 42-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Adams touchdown run in the first quarter.
McLoud expanded its lead to 52 points entering the fourth quarter. MHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown run by
Bryson Garcia.
The Redskins put up 28 points in the second quarter en route to the win. McLoud scored on a Wood touchdown run, a defensive touchdown, a touchdown pass by Wood to Adams and a touchdown run by Adams in the quarter.
Wood was the top performer for MHS. The junior quarterback threw one touchdown. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
The victory is a complete turnaround from last season's game between these two teams, which the Saints took, 35-14.
In a non-conference game next week Santa Fe South (1-4) takes on Ada, and McLoud (3-2) will go up against Tecumseh in a 4A District 2 game.
