For the first time this season, Fallbrook will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will head out to face off against the Valley Center Jaguars at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Fallbrook is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
Fallbrook's tournament run continued when they took on Sweetwater on Saturday. The Warriors walked away with a 9-4 victory over the Red Devils. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.
Hana Winton made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, she posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in May of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 3-for-4.
In other pitching news, Alicia Sorden looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

Back at the plate, Valeria Cervera was incredible, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in doubles (two). Another player making a difference was Kailey Peet, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.
Fallbrook kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.
Meanwhile, Valley Center came up short against Coastal Academy on Monday, falling 8-1. The Jaguars have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Su'La Devers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one triple and one double. That triple was her first of the season.
The win got Fallbrook back to even at 5-5-1. As for Valley Center, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-12.
Valley Center's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fallbrook has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.6 hits per game. It's a different story for Valley Center, though, as they've been averaging 9.4 hits. Given Fallbrook's sizable advantage in that area, the Jaguars will need to find a way to close that gap.
Fallbrook took their victory against Valley Center when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 14-6 score. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Jaguars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
