The Southwestern Trojans's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fourth straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 55-38 to Fredonia. Southwestern has struggled against Fredonia recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Leading Fredonia to victory were Ashton Putney and Davion White. Putney scored 16 points, while White dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. The match was White's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin Luce, who scored five points.
Southwestern's loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 2-6. As for Fredonia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Frewsburg the next time they take the court. Southwestern will head out to face Frewsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Sunday, while Fredonia will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
