After a string of five wins, Bethel's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They fell just short of the Oakwood Lumberjacks by a score of 2-1.

Lucas Buckholtz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched.

At the plate, Bethel saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Hutchison, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Bethel's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Oakwood, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bethel will face off against Miami East at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oakwood, they will venture away from home to square off against Brookville at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
