Del Campo lost against Vanden back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Del Campo fell just short of Vanden by a score of 3-2. The Cougars' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Del Campo got a good showing from Logan Smith, who pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Smith has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

Del Campo's loss dropped their record down to 4-7-1. As for Vanden, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-10.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Del Campo Cougars face off against Roseville Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Vanden, they will face off against Pinole Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
