The Cholla Chargers were the 41-15 winner over the Rio Rico Hawks when they last played one another back in October of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. Cholla took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of Rio Rico on Friday. Cholla has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Rio Rico can attribute much of their success to Angel Godinez, who rushed for 93 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, and also threw for 94 yards and a touchdown while completing 85.7% of his passes. Rio Rico also got a significant boost from Hiram Lopez, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 92 yards.
Cholla's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Rio Rico, their win bumped their record up to an identical 4-6.
Cholla does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Rio Rico also has no future games currently scheduled.
