Volleyball Recap: Raymond Central Picks Up Second Consecutive Win

Raymond Central won the last time they faced Roncalli Catholic and Julia Schultz did her part to make sure it happened again. The Mustangs had just enough and edged out the Crimson Pride 3-2 on Thursday thanks in part to Schultz, who had 30 digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Raymond Central was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 25-13, 24-26, 20-25, 27-25, 15-12.

The victory made it two in a row for Raymond Central and bumps their season record up to 12-12. As for Roncalli Catholic, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raymond Central will be taking part in a tournament against Conestoga at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Roncalli Catholic, they will challenge Gross Catholic on Tuesday. The Crimson Pride are facing the Cougars at the right time seeing as the Cougars are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
