Deleon Came Up Big in Stratford's 42-21 Victory
Starting off the list is Stratford's Aaron Deleon, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Deleon rushed for 93 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 195 yards and a touchdown on only 15 passes. Stratford is 6-1 when Deleon posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 1-2 otherwise.
Memorial's probably not too fond of Deleon given he always seems to get the better of them. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Deleon saw the Mustangs), he threw for 279 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 56 yards on only seven carries.

Eric Manuel Delivers Best Performance of Season
On Friday, Cypress Falls got the W thanks in part to Eric Manuel playing the best football he has all season. Manuel rushed for 133 yards and four touchdowns on only 11 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
The win was the seventh in a row for Cypress Falls, bringing their record for this year to 8-2. Manuel and Cypress Falls will face off against Bellaire at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Garland Wilburn Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Garland Wilburn was a major factor in Cypress Creek's win over Jersey Village on Saturday. Wilburn was excellent, rushing for 188 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (106.2). Cypress Creek is 2-1 when Wilburn posts two or more rushing touchdowns, but 0-7 otherwise.
This year, Wilburn has averaged 12.2 receiving yards per game.
